Happy Friday y’all! Sorry there was not a Tuesday post this week. It’s the home stretch of school so I am rather “chaotic and twirly” as Phoebe Buffay calls it. Anyway, so the topic of this post is why the Ulta Rewards Program (Ultamate Rewards) is literally the best there is. In addition to this I am also going to be talking about what I got the last time I was there and what I think of the products so far!
ULTAMATE REWARDS
For starters, the 20% coupon. My mom and I religiously shop at Ulta for pretty much anything beauty or hair related; so we are Prestige level. We get these coupons about 5 times a year and it’s 20% off EVERYTHING (including prestige brands). To be the Prestige level you have to spend $450 per calendar year, which I know sounds like a lot but between two people and buying anything you need that they sell there it’s pretty easy to spend that much. If you’re not prestige you do get a 20% off everything coupon too but I cannot remember how many times a year.
The points system is incredible. They don’t expire (until the end of the year for Member status) for Platinum and Diamond. They just recently added Diamond level. Plus, as you increase your membership the amount of points you get per dollar increases too. Also, you can redeem the points for money when purchasing. The best increment to use them in is 2000 because you save $125. All the info I’m telling you, is either from the Ulta website or things I’ve learned along the way from employees.
You can also get the Ultamate Rewards credit card and you will earn 2 points per dollar you spend when you use the card! Then on some other purchases I believe you get some points too. Your first purchase with it, you get 20%!
MY MOST RECENT ULTA HAUL
So, I know I just threw a whole lot of information at you but here’s my proof and it will blow your mind 😉My mom and I try to wait to buy everything when we have the 20% off entire purchase. The last time we went in, my grandma came with and got her foundation and mom got mascara (neither are pictured). I got Lancôme Monsieur Big (WATERPROOF!!!! 😍) Mascara, MAC Prep+Prime Fix Little MAC, Mario Badescu Facial Spray, Too Faced Born This Way Foundation, Clinique Take Off The Day Balm and the Anastasia Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette.
Here’s where I’m blowing your mind: For eight prestige brand products we paid a grand total of $65. Yes, you read that right. Now I may sound crazy and you may be thinking, “What???? You’re excited about $65???” (Hopefully not since it is eight products but you may still be thinking it). We redeemed 2000 points and saved $125. I got a $42 palette for $10.92. LET ME REPEAT A $42 PALETTE FOR $10.92!!! That is incredible. Everything was obviously discounted but I think that one is pretty incredible.
REVIEWS
- Anastasia Soft Glam: I absolutely loooove this! I treated myself to it (mom buys me my essentials but I buy the extra “stuff”) for my trip to Italy because it’s an easy day-to-night transition palette and it’s compact. Let me tell you, these shadows are PIGMENTED. You barely need to touch the pan to get plenty of product. The colors are also blendable. Also, the packaging is adorable (IT’S VELVET 😍).
- Lancôme Mascara: Love this just as much if not more than the non-waterproof! I haven’t noticed a difference between length or volume between the two.
- MAC Prep+Prime Fix Little MAC: I haven’t gotten to use this yet but I’m so excited!
- Clinique Cleansing Balm: I love this!!! (An inexpensive dupe would be coconut oil, which peep an upcoming post about coconut oil written by Reece). Big Kahuna’s mom and sister use this so they let me try it and I loved it since first try.
- Too Faced Born This Way Foundation: I just switched to this foundation and have only worn it once so far, but I loved it the one time I did wear it. The undertones fit my skin tone perfectly and it's made with coconut oil so it's hydrating too!
- Mario Badescu Facial Spray: If you’ve read pretty much any of my posts, you know this is one of my holy grail products. I got the bigger bottle this time 😏
Now I could go on forever how great this Rewards Program is but the moral of the blog post is: If you’re not signed up, YOU ARE MISSING OUT. Go! Sign! Up! Even if you don’t buy expensive makeup they have lots of drugstore brands, hair products, perfume and other beauty products. Buy what you can there and you will save money! As usual, products are all linked for an easy way for you to find exactly what I’m talking about.
XO,
Rose
