Travel Bucket List-2018

"I haven't been everywhere yet, but it's on my list." - Susan Sontag

Hey y’all 👋

As you’ve read in my bio I live and breath travel. I started my own business this year (click here for more info), and am always eager to visit new destinations. As of right now I’ve been to 6 countries (7 if you count the train ride through Belgium to get to Paris from Amsterdam). So there’s about 188 countries left that I would like to visit. 🤣My scratch map needs to get a little more colorful before I’m satisfied. Of course, I would never turn down a revisit to anywhere I’ve already been, but this list is only going to include places I’ve never been. Let’s dive in!

Italy

I’m sure you saw that Rose will be studying abroad this summer (I’ll let her spill the deets for that trip), and if everything works out I’ll be able to spend some time with her there, checking this one off my bucket list. I’ve been doing a load of research on Milan, and I’ll be publishing a day trip I have planned here soon (full trips available soon at ciatravelgroup.com). Such a beautiful country, and I’m sure I could spend the whole summer there and still not see everything I want to see. *sigh* maybe someday in the future.

IMO Milan is going to be the perfect place for Rose and I to spend the summer. Let’s just say we’ll be spending lots of time at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (Prada’s flagship store is here), and I already told her I want to spend one night at the Sheraton Diana Majestic. We’ll let you know how that goes😍

Caribbean

Yes, I know this includes 26 countries, but I’d probably lose you at Aruba if I list every single one on this list 😂

Okay, moment of truth. Raise your hand if you daydream about being paid to lay on the beach in a swimsuit every day 🙋🏻‍I may or may not just look up resorts and beaches and *high pitched squeal* wish that was my full time job. Maybe one day I’ll find someone who is paid to exist like a Kardashian or something and live my sponsored beach life.

On second thought, maybe not😅 It’s fun to think about for a hot minute though.

I’m more of a do-er when I travel, but the Caribbean speaks to my inner beach babe. I do love a good oceanside nap.

Greece

I’m not sure when the first time I wanted to go to Greece was. It was probably from watching Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants a few too many times. Plus we all know Kostas is dreamy. I'm sure all those shots of Greece sparked some of my interest in the islands.

Mykonos is a bit of a celebrity hang out and a has a reputation for being a “party island”, but from what I’ve read it’s still a must-see, and you can avoid the party scene if you know where to go. The water is just so blue and clear, and the beaches are more sand and less cliff than Santorini, which makes for more crowded beaches. NBD. Everybody has their “touristy” things they just can’t miss, and this is one of mine.

Croatia

Croatia is a smaller country west across the Arctic Sea from Italy. It always flew a little under the radar for me until I started seeing more pictures of it, and now it’s probably my #2 after Italy (if I was forced to put these in order). Also, as we all know, King’s Landing is Dubrovnik, so we saw lots of shots of the city in GoT. But it’s not just Dubrovnik that I want to see. It’s filled with national parks and waterfalls, and is an all-around dreamy destination. I saw they have caves you can kayak or swim through 😍 Talk about bucket-list!

New Zealand

I’ve read so many places that New Zealand is the most beautiful country in the world. Hundreds of movies from The Chronicles of Narnia to Thor: Ragnarok have been filmed there, showcasing the incredible natural terrain. For someone who doesn’t like flying, the flight length is a little much for me. It t would be perfect to tack onto the end of another trip, but I’ve been told time after time that it’s so worth it, no matter how long it takes to get there. I believe it😍

If I listed every destination on my bucket list we would be here for a few months, so I’ll just leave it at 5, most of them beach locations. If you didn't know already, I'm a warm weather girl 😁I’m sure we’ll be back for part 2 here soon. See ya later, babes✌️

XO, Reece

Hi-ya there friends,

So, every place Reece listed is on my bucket list too but I am going to list countries/places she didn't! Also, I do not have a scratch map yet but will be ordering one soon. Let's get started:

France

For an obvious reasons: PARIS. 😍 For those of you who know me personally, you know that I spend way too much time daydreaming about anything and everything Parisian. From the Eiffel Tower, Palais Garnier, Galeries Lafayette, Arch de Triumph & beautiful gardens upon gardens. Also, bonus there's DisneyLand Paris. Paris aside, France has many other beautiful landmarks and cities. As Monica Geller says, "I would like to go to France and eat nothing but cheese and bread... and pastries" (Friends, Season 8 Episode 16). 😋

Australia

I have just recently started loving snorkeling and Australia has an abundance of places to. The Great Barrier Reef being one of those. Sharks do scare the daylights out of me but water & a marine life so pretty is well worth risking seeing a shark. 😅 There are even snorkeling tours all around Australia, which I think would be pretty epic honestly.

Bora Bora

How gorgeous is this place, I mean are we sure it's even real??? 😍 From clear blue waters to cute bungalows ON the water. Seriously, how cool would that be? Sleeping on the ocean, being able to just wake up and lay on a hammock right above the water or walking out of your room and hopping into the ocean.

Germany

One word: Christkindlmarket. 🎄 I love Christmas and I love outdoor markets. Plus, there's food. How much better can it get? Also, I love history and Germany historic castles and other historic sites.

Maldives

Well apparently there's an underwater spa, which would be INCREDIBLE. Also like Bora Bora, there are on the water bungalows you can stay in. One of the things I would be most excited to see would be the Luminous Sea of Stars which is a beach where bioluminescent phytoplankton washes up on the beach. I've seen a phenomenon like this in Grand Cayman (actually in the water & I 10/10 recommend doing that tour if you're ever in Grand Cayman *peep an article on Grand Cayman soon*) and it literally makes you speechless. 🌟

Like Reece said, if I listed every place we would be here forever. Here's to hoping that I get to all of these places (relatively) soon!

XO,

Rose
