Outfit
Hey y’all! One of my favorite times to get all dolled and dressed up is Sunday Mornings. Then of course I come home and change into my leggings and t-shirt lol. This past Sunday I wore a dusty rose denim skirt from Altar’d State (I believe that is the correct one) with a cream colored asymmetrical sweater. I paired the skirt sweater combo with thigh high Steve Madden boots (hello Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!! Unfortunately they are sold out) and the Pale Gold Cindy Michael Kors Cross-body (Unfortunately, the Pale Gold is sold out online). The sweater is from a boutique in Osage, MO called Shabby Chic. I LOVE this boutique more than words can explain because the pieces are SO unique! Unfortunately I couldn’t find a website but you can google Shabby Chic Boutique Osage Beach MO! One of my favorite aspects of this sweater is the fact that it is asymmetrical. The shape of the sweater, the different cuts and the construction all work together to be one of the most flattering sweaters I have ever worn. The bottom right side of the sweater is much shorter than the left side, which adds dimension. Let me tell you about those boots, they are cute AND comfy. I can walk all over in them with no problem, which is definitely important to me! Also, instead of ties at the top they are elastic so they do not fall down as much. However, without pants or thigh high socks to grip on they do slip some. The Cindy MK purse is honestly one of the most practical cross-bodies I have ever owned. I say this because it holds way more inside than you would ever think possible + bonus, it’s adorable! I keep my wallet, touch up makeup, lotion, random items and there’s still plenty of room for my phone or other items I need too. I finished the look with a pair of mid-size white gold cubic zirconia studs and my Tiffany & CO necklace.
Makeup
On the face: I always start with a moisturizer, an eye serum and the Mario Badescu Rose Water Spray (if you don’t have it, run to your local Ulta and BUY IT NOW!). Then I have Tarte BB Cream and Primer, followed by Under eye concealer I either use Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector or NARS creamy concealer or both. I set these with the Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder and then move on to all over bronzing with the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer. I use the Too Faced Cocoa Contour Chiseled to Perfection to highlight and contour. For blush and highlight I used the Kylie Cosmetics Barely Legal Blush and the Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighter in Gold. After all of this, I set again with the Cover FX powder. Once I am completely finished with my entire look, I set with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.
On the eyes: I am wearing the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palette, Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara and Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Demolition. I am alllll about those neutral eye looks, this one is a little more peachy than normal but I love how it turned out!
Lips: I am wearing MAC Frost lipstick in the shade Angel. I got it for Christmas and I love it! It’s a lightweight, creamy lipstick and the color is the perfect pink.
Side note I just got my nails done with dip polish for the first time but unfortunately you can’t see them in either picture. They’re in the shade Toasted Marshmallow (nude of course).
Hope you enjoyed reading this,
XO,
Rose
