Hey y’all! So you have read about my favorite face products in several of our articles, but I thought it would be a good idea to compile them all into one article! As several makeup gurus have said (Jaclyn Hill and Manny MUA are two of my faves) “Your makeup will only look as good as the skin underneath”. Everything starts with a good base! 💆🏼🙌🏼
Everyday (mostly) Use Products
Mario Badescu Botanical Exfoliating Scrub: I love this product because the grains are not too heavy so it cleanses, but does not make my skin feel dry or rough. I keep this in my shower and try to use it two to three times a week. Another reason I love this product is it smells nice but it isn’t too perfumed, which is good for my sensitive skin!
Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturizer: I love this because it doesn’t feel too heavy but my skin feels refreshed after I put it on. This is a great every day moisturizer. One downside is the smell it isn’t necessarily bad but it isn’t good either.
L’Occitane Shea Butter Light Comforting Cream: I love this cream, however I think it is a heavier cream so I only use it if I am feeling dry! It smells great, but it is a little strong.
Mario Badescu Rose Hips Nourishing Oil: I just recently purchased this product and it is already a holy grail of mine! From the smell to the way my skin smells and feels after applying it. I use this product every couple days so probably two to three times a week depending on how my skin is feeling.
Tibetan Goji Berry Advanced Anti-Aging Eye Serum: I got this in a FabFitFun box and I love it! It's nourishing and makes my skin feel silky.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herb and Rosewater: As talked about in How to Dress Cute but Comfy (PRIORITIES PEOPLE) and SUNDAY FUNDAY , I adore this product and use it morning and night! This might be my favorite product ever 🤤Reece and I always use this spray LIBERALLY, whether or not we’re actually wearing makeup. It just feels so nice! It leaves your skin feeling refreshed and revitalized.
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion: If you’re prone to breakouts, I love this product! Dries those zits right up! I put it on at night and sleep with it on. Smells strong of rubbing alcohol until it dries.
Face Masks
Mario Badescu Flower and Tonic mask: This one might be my favorite! Smells great and my skin always feels so refreshed after
LUSH Cosmetics Cup O' Coffee mask: My skin feels energized after this and the coffee grounds in it also exfoliate your skin!
Whish Rose hip + Lotus Nourishing Dew Mask: I love this mask because it feels like nothing is on your skin, but when you wash it off your skin is the softest it will ever be.
Whish Rose hip + Lotus Nourishing Dew Mask: I love this mask because it feels like nothing is on your skin but when you wash it off your skin is the softest it will ever be.
Money Saving Tips:
FabFitFun: I love FFF and if you are looking for a way to try full sized beauty, skin care and other products this is a great way to do so! $50 per box but it’s over a $200 value.
Ipsy: I have personally never used ipsy but I would love to try it out. Reece has and loved it! These are travel sized products but is still a great way to try out products
DIYs: Another great way to save is making products yourself (or just using coconut oil for everything like Reece 😉she swear it's the best make-up remover). For our Valentine’s Day celebration we made a Rose body scrub from rose oil and Himalayan salt and then we made a body butter with coconut oil, vitamin E oil, and lavender oil.
Bonus! Here are a few products I’ve been wanting to try:
Clinique Take off the Day Cleansing balm
LUSH Cosmetics The Birth of Venus Jelly Face Mask: my brother just got this for me so I will be using it soon!
I absolutely love all of these products and I hope you enjoyed reading this. All the items are linked so if you're interested in buying any they're all right there. Like I said in the intro, you have to take care of your skin because good makeup starts with a good base!
XO,
Rose
